Public Policy for Support and Development of Personnel

As part of the Quality Policy of the MSc program, the support and development of its members are provided through its resources. To support and develop the academic skills of the personnel involved in teaching courses in the MSc program, the following policies are adopted:

  1. Funding: Partial or full coverage by the MSc program for registration and accommodation/meal expenses of professors participating in conferences in Greece and abroad related to the research areas of the MSc program, aiming to enhance production, strengthen, and achieve excellence in research.

  2. Enhancement of Research Activities: Encouraging research stimuli and activities for the personnel involved in teaching courses in the MSc program, as well as organizing round-table academic discussions where synergies between stakeholders with related academic interests are developed to promote and strengthen academic research.

  3. Research Publication Funding: Providing financial support for research publications of the MSc program’s teaching staff in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.

  4. Promotion of Collaborations: Encouraging collaborations between professors and between professors and students with the aim of writing and publishing joint research papers on topics related to the public sector.

  5. Encouragement of Participation in Research Programs: Encouraging the participation of the MSc program’s teaching staff in research projects that produce innovative added scientific value.

  6. Continuous Education and Skill Development: Ensuring continuous education and development of skills and specialized knowledge of the teaching staff through participation in seminars/workshops.

  7. Publication and Communication of Support Policies: Publishing and communicating support policies to the personnel through internal communication channels to enhance the quality of academic work.

These policies are consistent with the mission promoted by the MSc program and with the goals and values of the University of West Attica. Through these policies, the MSc program aims to promote academic excellence and create added scientific value from the nurturing, exchange, and dissemination of academic knowledge.
