Assistant Prof Christiana M. Papapostolou, PhD, MSc, Mechanical Engineer. Research member of the Optimisation of Production Systems Lab of UNIWA and Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research and teaching activities are focused on multicriteria analysis, modelling and optimisation of energy and water systems and of energy supply chains, in terms of Life Cycle Analysis.

She has participated in various research projects as indicatively: Horizon 2020 “TILOS_Technology Innovation for the Local Scale, Optimum Integration of Battery Energy Storage”, FP7_CRISP “CReating Innovative Sustainability Pathways”, ARCHIMEDES_II “Optimization of Water Systems in Islands with Limited Water Resources” and “PREMIA R&D, demonstration and incentive programmes effectiveness to facilitate and secure market introduction of alternative motor fuels” (European Commission – Directorate-General Energy & Transport (DG TREN) under the 6th Framework Programme, 2005-2006)).

She is also the author and co-author of several research and conference papers (more than 40, with approximately 200 citations) and contributor in the Greek National Building Renovation long-term strategy investments. Additionally, her research activities are focused in energy poverty alleviation, with focal point the municipalities of West Athens (member of the working group UNIWA-CTR and Association for the Development of West Athens (ASDA) for the associated Integrated Territorial Investments Plan).
