Prof. Dr. Constantinos Psomopoulos holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA. Since 2018 he is a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of University of West Attica, Director of the Research Laboratory of High Voltages and Energy Systems. From 2007 to 2018 he was a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the former TEI of Piraeus, where he also served as Assoc. President of the Department. He is Vice President of the Hellenic Waste to Energy Council (WTERT Greece), a member of the Global WTERT Council and a Researcher at the Earth Engineering Center of Columbia University of New York. As an engineer he has worked in the period 1998-2022 in various energy and waste management projects in Greece, the Balkans, Cyprus and the MENA countries. Since 2007 he has been a member of the EU Scientific Committees in the field of eco-design of energy using/ related products and has participated in the publication of numerous studies on the adoption of EU EcoDesign regulations. His published research work in international scientific journals and international conferences exceed 200 articles and he participates in the editorial boards of many international journals in the fields of energy and environment. Since 2020 he is an Alternate & Exec. Board Member of the Hellenic Solid Waste Management Association (HSWMA), responsible for the EcoDesing of Products and Services and Waste to Energy sectors.
